RACES

Humans - Vary in size and shape and come from all around the world. Mercenaries, freebooters, adventurers, merchants and all sorts have flocked to the empire to find work or make their fortune.

Dwarves - Work Hard, Play Hard, Live Hard. With their homes high in the north and in the mountains a dwarves life is doing their best in everything they do no matter what it is they do. Living under tons of rock they seek color, new songs and fresh beer to liven up their nights after a hard days work. Many dwarves at least once in their life leave home to see the world before they come home to start a family.

Gnomes - Have no nation of their own setting up small communties in whatever nation will have them. Having a mind for science and engineering many gnomes find work at schools and universitys, while others become adventurers to gain the coin they need for their experiments. There are only a few small gnomish communities in the Empire mostly in the cities of Veranarr, Stendarr, and Arravis.
Half Elves - Unwelcome in Laelanor or Thel Hesera half elves make their home where ever they can fitting in with humanity. Although they tend to be pale and with dark hair that is not always the case with only their pointed ears giving away their lineage. Half Elves are with distrust in Barravar and seen as troublemakers although most are simply trying to make a living at their chose profession.

Elves -  With their pale with skin and black hair along with their many tattoos they pose a striking figure. Their tattoos provide magical protections or gifts to help them in their selected profession. The elves are an isolationist people allowing no one inside their nation except into their port citys, and fewer elves still live outside of Laelanor or Thel Hesera those who do are usually considered outcasts or freaks.

Tieflings - The byblow of demonic mating centurys ago, and then almost hunted into non-existance tieflings are a rare sight these days. Although they are no longer killed on sight these days ((unless your Hakkath)) few people like or trust a tiefling. Because of this tieflings must find work that is outside the norm and few stay in the same place long.

Half-Orcs - Numerous along the borders of the wild lands half orcs do not fit anywhere with ease. Hated and loathed by many they are still allowed to live within the empire but face racism at every turn. Many make their living as mercenaries, body guards, hired muscle or as guides to those foolish enough to go treasure hunting in the wild lands.
